To Dr. Ken hypnotherapy is much more than a profession...it's his calling and his passion. He believes the concept of "Kaizen" which means "continuous improvement in all things."

As a young entrepreneur, years before he was involved in the profession of hypnotherapy, Grossman started and built companies. He employed many young men and women, and because of the draft many of the men had served in the Viet Nam.

He felt that one of the most challenging, yet rewarding aspects of his position as CEO of his growing organization was counseling his employees. Many employees opened up to him at their bi-monthly payroll meetings and shared their personal problems with him. He knew if his employees did better in their personal lives they would do better on the job so he did all he could to listen and help.

He decided to return to college to take some courses in the behavioral sciences, especially psychology, to help him understand human nature better. Later he discovered the tremendous value of hypnosis and was hooked on its benefits.

Because of his passion for hypnotherapy he wanted to make it his full time profession, so he sold his businesses to his employees, sold his home and moved to Chicago to complete his education and devote full time to the profession of hypnotherapy.

Dr. Kenneth Grossman has now been a Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist for over 30 years.

He has hypnotized close to 400,000 thousand people in the United States and around the world. He has written and recorded many top selling personal growth and development programs and presentation. He’s been listed in “Marquis Who’s Who in the World” for his achievements. His undergraduate work was done at the University of Chicago, Eastern Michigan University and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He received a doctorate in Clinical Hypnotherapy from the American Institute of Hypnotherapy. He has studied nutrition at Cornell University.

He studied hypnotism with the leading teachers both in the United States and in the United Kingdom. He trained in London, England at the UK Academy of Therapeutic Arts and Sciences. He received his International Certified Instructor Certificate from the National Guild of Hypnotists.

He was the director of the Hypnotism Training Institute of Chicago for more than 15 years and was an adjunct professor at Moraine College near Chicago where he taught hypnosis and has lectured at many Chicago area colleges.

Dr. Grossman enjoys creating world-class hypnotherapy programs, coaching, consulting, speaking and writing. Nothing thrills him more than guiding people into hypnosis and seeing them accomplish things they never believed possible.

He has always had a passion for sailing and feels very at home on the ocean. He has sailed many tens of thousands of miles. He is a Licensed United States Coast Guard 100 Ton Master Captain. He is a graduate of the Annapolis School of Seamanship and the Chapman School of Seamanship. He has sailed the Great Lakes, the Atlantic, the Intercoastal Waterway, the Gulf of Mexico, most of the Caribbean Islands, Cuba, South America and the Hawaiian Islands.

He is also a both a NAUI and PADI certified SCUBA diver with hundreds of open ocean dives. He holds an Amateur Radio License with call sign KG4ISX. He has an honorable discharge from the United States Air Force, having served for 4 years during the Viet Nam era. He has a passion for both golf and fly fishing.

He believes in living life to the fullest and his wanderlust has taken him all over the world. During one exploration he had the opportunity to spend several months living amongst the Kuna Indians who inhabit the San Blas Islands of Panama. While there he was one of the few outsiders to ever attend a Kuna puberty ritual ceremony as the guest of a Kuna chief. He was privileged to be able to visit with many of the Kuna shaman throughout the San Blas Islands. They allowed him to study their primitive healing techniques first hand. What an amazing experience!

Dr. Grossman has ben married to Jane for 26 years. Jane, a breast cancer survivor, has published a book about their sailing adventures from Chicago to South America aboard their 34' Pacific Seacraft Crealock sailboat Iniki.

Besides raising awareness and funds for breast cancer, Dr. Grossman and Jane's other special cause is the men and women of the United States Armed Forces and reducing their chances of getting post traumatic stress syndrome. In this regard, they founded the Military Combat Stress Relief Foundation, Inc, a non-profit foundation which provides stress relief programs for our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
